Boun is a Japanese-style inn that takes pride in its free-flowing hot spring baths—one aspect of Kusatsu's self-declared "onsenism." The inn also boasts a beautiful rhododendron garden.
During your stay, you can take full pleasure in relaxing in six different baths, including open-air baths that draw water from two of the town's hot spring sources.
We have plenty of equipment available for use by workation guests, so please do not hesitate to contact our hotel staff regarding any special needs you might have.
Many poets and novelists such as Issa Kobayashi and Ikku Jippensha did a lot of their writing at hot spring resorts, so you too could take a "workation" to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life by rejuvenating mind and body in the hot springs whilst also getting some work done in your own private space.
Teleworking has grown in popularity thanks to advancements in IT and high-speed internet, a trend that is also driving changes in working styles and traditional values.
Kusatsu Onsen is a charming hot spring town where visitors can stroll around the Yubatake, or "hot-water field."
It is the perfect place for a workation mainly because you can easily visit multiple hot springs and see the local sights during your stay.
We recommend departing on either Thursday or Sunday.
